Day One Reflection~✝️
At The Dream Center, they have a foster family program where they provide families who can't financially provide for their kids with household furniture. Coming into this, I was a little hesitant because I had no experience ever building anything before. Today, I had the awesome opportunity to participate in building dressers for a family! Each one of us played an important role whether it be making the drawers or building the frame and together we were able to build three dressers. At first it seemed so little of a task to just build dressers, but during my time there, it really convicted me to what I take for granted back home. I now have a new perspective on life as I was able to gain insight and process the impact of one small act of service. It was amazing to take part in God's significant work during our time here! This was just one way that has helped me to stretch my faith and go beyond my comfort zone. I can't wait to see how God will continue to use us to minister to others throughout this trip!
