How Amazing is our God!!
Over 23 years ago, a young man of 20 years
old, Matthew Barnett, had a big vision from God....Echo park, near Angeles
Temple is where his ministry began.
As the construction crew restored the
wallpaper in the chapel of the building where the Dream Center now resides, it
was discovered that the wall under the old wallpaper, written in spanish... it
said, "Center of Dreams"
These are a few of numerous stories we heard
today as we got to tour the Dream Center facility. It is definitely a blessing
to be part of God's plan for the people of this community. Many, many, many
lives get saved and restored daily over the years.
From feeding the homeless daily, trucks
convoy out of a enormous food distribution warehouse, to transition programs
for veterans, emancipated youth (timed out of foster care), to the
brokenhearted and discouraged from the streets, the Dream Center is doing the
work God sets each of us out to do in our lives.

Team Bonding!
Here we are! The Dream Team! On Sunday, March 5, we were able to spend some bonding time together as a whole team, while having some fun in the sun. Rooted in Jesus, Love in Humble Service is our motto. We are charged and ready to humbly serve! T-minus 2 days until we arrive in LA!
Lau Lau and Kalua Pig Distribution Days
On Saturday, February 11, and Sunday, February 12, our hard working #dreamteam met at 7AM to prepare and distribute the most delicious lau lau and kalua pig plates you've ever had! Pick up for these plates were available at both locations, KMC and DHT, at all services! These lau lau and kalua plates were put together with so much love and appreciation for all of the support that we received from everyone!

Pre-Flight / Travel Tips for the Travel Team
Aloha Team,
4 Days and counting til departure on Sunday 3/19... Just thought I would share a few tips I follow as a flight attendant who travels regularly... Hope it helps as you prepare for the mission.
HYDRATE: It is recommended to hydrate and take immune support 3-4 days prior to traveling to boost your immunity as traveling is normally stressful with exposure to change in temperature and environment and also we will be susceptible to airplane and others.
Flight: Approx. 5.5 hrs. Red-eye/sleep flight,
- pillows and blankets will be provided.
- But you may want to bring your own or additional if you think you need it.
There are drinks but no food provided on flight. Be prepared.
Use of Vaseline to prevent dryness of nose while on airplane and ultimately prevents susceptibility to illness. For nose and lips.
CHECK-IN ONLINE: Checkin online at home up to 12 hours before flight time is recommended. Print out boarding passes.
BE MINDFUL: For carry on luggage - All carry on’s are subject to 3/1/1/ TSA rule.
3/1/1/ Rule : Up to 3oz containers of liquids/in 1 qt. size plastic bag/ per person.
PRAY: Take time to pray everyday this week connecting and asking God what He thinks about you and the trip ahead. Ask Him what everyone is needing so you know how to pray.
